I enjoy the outdoors and like to take photos of the places I have been. These photos came from the NC mountains.

China Flag and Blue Sky at Great Wall

The Great Wall is about 40 minutes outside of Beijing. This was a beautiful crisp day and the sky was beautiful. We were there about three weeks after the Olympics and the smog was evident everywhere. This was one notable exception.

Observe sign One World One Dream.

Montana After a Snowfall

I went fly fishing with Blue Ribbon Flies this past summer (2008), and we fished on the Madison River near West Yellowstone. This photo came from their web site http://www.blueribbonflies.com/. They did not say who took it, but it certainly is pretty. I am not sure if this is the Madison River, but we surely had a good time and enjoyed the scenery, the river, the fishing, and the people.

Another Part of the Great Wall

Here is a second photo taken in China. the Great Wall goes on for 4000 miles. Much of it is in disrepair, and the sheer number of tourist are taking a toll.
This is a large photo. If you click on it and look to the right of center you can see the sign they put up about the 2008 Olympics. Its a big sign.
What a way to mess up a beautiful view of one of the wonders of the World.

The Great Wall of China

Here are a few photos from a recent trip to China. We were gone for 23 days and saw some extremely interesting things. This was the only day we had that was clear. There was a lot of smog all over China. That is to say the parts we were in. We started in Bejing, went down the Yangtze, passed Chongqing, Wushan, Three Gorges, Jingzhou, to Shangi and then over to Hong Kong.
